"Dear Mattie,I don't understand your review. Do you not like the poem because you feel that love should be questioned or are you just down on love because you've had your heart broken in the past? Unanswered Questions by David Daniels (3)
"I think this piece is good. But you do not have to force rhymes, which I think this does. I have a hard time writing poems that do not rhyme also, but I think it flows better if you don't try so hard to make so many lines rhyme. BTW I really have enjoyed your posts. One question...are the names you use in your stories real or fictional? " -- mattie.
"Dear Mattie,I think I would like to leave the answer to that question a mystery.Tell me what you think and if you feel I should be using real names. Thanks for the review." -- David D.
"David...I wonder if using "real" names might be unethical, so I would not." -- mattie.

The Preacher And His Friend by David Daniels (5)
"I liked this :) especially because it isn't what we normally read on here. As for the structure it works well, to break up the sentences would ruin the feel. I really like the line "For I've been living a life of Hell and befriending the Devil is my crime". Great! " -- Rebecca.
"the structure was unique yes, but it worked, i liked this piece, was a good read, i really enjoyed it, look forward to reading more...well done" -- baker.
"cool! i like this style. the structure is fine, but if you cut some of the fat out it could be great. don't get me wrong, i really like this, but all things are better when you cut out the fat (besides a ribeye)." -- nick marshburn.

"Great poem, and orginal too! However watch your "flow" the poem tends to get choppy at times, cutting out the fat will help with this." -- Erika, IN.

The Monster In The Closet. by David Baker (11)
"Great, loved it. Glad it came out so well, keep it up." -- Josh / AxeY.
"cheers, thanx josh.." -- bakes.
"This sounds like a closet homosexual to afraid to come out and show his true(rainbow) colors. The first stanza: Trying to live a lie, sleep on it, but it's still there...lurking. Second stanza: Close your eyes, but it is still trying to come out, "The monster is on the move again, it wants to wat your fear." The truth wants to come out and is fighting. Third: This is the first gay sex expierence; "Your body shakes in terror, fingers tipped by sweat." This lie is beginning to become a reality. Fourth: To scared to come out with it, afraid to know the truth, "It walks within your ear" The truth isn't leaving without a fight. Fifth: Your saviour, the ability to date a girl to hide everything, to cover it all up. As soon as this "weapon" is put to use the rumors disappear. All is forgotten. Sixth: You live another day considered a straight man, another day to lie, but you're still on your own with this one. "This creature strikes in the darkness, when it knows that you're all alone." Nice work with this one, very clever even if you weren't going for this. I thought it was fun." -- Brodie J Hughes.
"WTF!!,that's nowhere near the point of the poem, but thanx for the review anyway i guess.." -- baker.
"The gay thing I don't see...unless it has something to do with the closet thing...lol. But anyway this was great. I liked the imagery...took me back to the days when monsters in my closet were all I had to fear :)" -- mattie.
"thanx mattie, yeh that was what i was trying to do, i'm glad it worked with someone, i admit i was a victim, i used to sleep with the light on lol, thanx heaps for that :):).....cheers" -- baker.
"Hm... ok.... i think maybe Brodie is a closet gay BAHAHA, judging that from the piece, LMARO! that is some funny shit. I dont quite think Baker was going for that... u suspect individual!" -- Josh / AxeY.

"Hmmm...am wondering why you might think I wait in the dark? I prefer the light...even then you sometimes cannot see. Elaborate please? :)" -- mattie.
"Dear Mattie,I was refering to the last line in this poem. But the truth is I hope wherever you're waiting your knight in shining armor finds you and carries you off to a magical land where you'll live happily ever after! :)" -- David D.

"Read a few of your other poems as well. A lot of things to like however, you seem obsessed with depression. For what it's worth, I had a friend who used to read poetry written by a very bitter, depressed female. He urged her to become more positive, to believe in herself and her talent. Finally, he insisted they meet and they did. He described her as short, unattractive, overweight, and with a bad complexion. He no longer reads her poetry. " -- Richard.
"my first time reading this. you're work is always wonderful. " -- KM.
"Thanks KM...and Richard, I assume there was a compliment hidden somewhere in your comment. Actually, I rarely feel "depressed" and write about other things as well. And for what it's worth I do not fit the description of your friends misfortune...beauty is in the eye of the beholder." -- mattie.

Is That All You Think About?:-) by Dri (5)
"Well said. " -- Lithium.
"Well, it seems to me that if you have to write about THAT, you don't get any of THAT, and you can't get some of THAT 'cause you don't want some of THAT!" -- Manny.
"Actually, for loving THAT, THAT much is THAT I decided to write about THAT. You know, when we are not bitter people, and have a sense of houmour, we love joking around, even about THAT. Now, to share how much of THAT I get, then I would be crude and besides, how much of THAT I get, it's none of people's business. And if you can't leave constructive feedback, you'd better say nothing. Take care." -- Dri.
"I thought THAT was very humorous and I like THAT you have a sense of humor.I always look for THAT in a woman as well as good looks.Apparently you have both." -- David D.

"You use some wonderful words in your poetry and your imagery shows promise of a great poet. Now try to focus upon your rythem and ryhme scheme. So you can keep the flow of your poem moving and it also helps to keep your ideas clear and understandible. I.e in this poem think about the last line of your first stanza. Also do not comprimise what you are saying in order to ensure a rhyme scheme. I.e the last line of the second stanza. Lastly try to keep you ideas in sequence so we get a feeling of how you think. In this poem it becomes unclear if we understand the constrictions government places upon us or not. Overall i like a lot of what you write i hope you think about what i've said and use it to improve because you have a real talent. thank you." -- katie.
