"well said....." -- km.
"I finished reading your piece on Cosby's comments and was quite surprised to find myself impressed by your use of logic and common sense. Then I read this piece of garbage which virtually destroys any credibility you may have acheived through some of your other writings. It must be wonderful to be so young and so aware of the ignorance of others around you, even if they are better educated, older and wiser than you. On the contrary, it is you, Jeffrey, who have revealed, not only your ignorance, but your biased and warped view of the world around you. It is certainly not uncommon for homosexuals to think like this, so do take consolation in the fact that you will find plenty of support for your convoluted logic and misguided attempt to link Christianity with civil union. Proponents of same sex marriage will try to use the 14th amendment's equal protection clause as a basis for legalizing this type of union. They will fail. At some point in this latest chapter of our cultural war, common sense will prevail. There is no culture in the history of the world that has ever recognized marriage as anything other than a union between a man and a woman. Even polygomy is clearly a union between man and women. The ultimate agenda of gays and lesbians is not to be left alone to their own devices, it is to be accepted and revered and even admired by those of us who totally disapprove of their behavior and lifestyle. If you're mad, what more could you hope for than to have the inmates running the asylum. This latest same sex marriage fiasco is yet another device to gain attention and you can certainly count on the media to give you far more than your share of attention. I suppose you need attention to justify your existence and purpose. Sooner or later the vast majority of people in our culture will realize the best way to get you folks to shut up is to ignore you. Indifference is one of the most cruel forms of disapproval, in fact, it is quite an effective substitute for punishment. " -- Richard.
"I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it. -- Voltaire " -- Jeffrey.
