WhatS Wrong With Assimilation?
Richard Koss

As the Senate begins its debate on the immigration reform bill, we can witness these hypocrites posturing for position, trying to appear worthy of the votes of their constituents, yet seeking compromise that will actually satisfy nobody.

Polling data shows that most people in this country would prefer to see the present laws enforced and illegal aliens deported and forced to start all over to enter this country legally. We know that wont happen, not because its impossible to enforce, but because the Democrats want to secure the Latino vote for future elections and shut out the Republicans from ever regaining control of Congress or the White House. Many Republican Senators and Representatives are too afraid of their own political futures to speak out even though passage of this bill would all but eliminate the two-party system.

The bleeding hearts and religious leaders with their sanctuaries to shelter these law-breakers have the tacit approval of the general media and nearly all the Democrats in Congress. Liberals have made diversity a sacred word in our society while the majority of us who want cultural assimilation and a predominantly English speaking educational curriculum are castigated as racists and bigots. It is futile to enumerate the self-aggrandizing motives, with their political and social engineering implications, of those who distort and exploit the concept of diversity while opposing assimilation.

Every citizen born here or naturalized is now confronted with an uphill battle against those who seek to change our English speaking, American culture into their dream of a multi-cultural, dysfunctional socialist state where the majority of taxpayers born in this country may someday have virtually no control over the basic educational curriculum of their children and their childrens children.

In 1907, President Theodore Roosevelt expressed his ideas about immigration as well as anyone and most Americans feel those ideas he expressed are even more applicable today, than they were a century ago. In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the persons becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American..There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isnt an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag.. We have room for but one languageand that is the English language.and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

"Theodore Roosevelt was also responsible for the slaughter of Cubans during the Spanish American War." -- Emilio Mendez.
"We neeed another Teddy Roosevelt right now. " -- Lester.
"Damn! You have a lot of hatred and fear in you! How about a comprehensive plan to ending illegal immigration like going after the corporations and small compnaies that encourage it...actually makes profit off of it! I didn't read one thing in this piece about those violators...those criminals...its all of this American Jargon of English language and bleeding heart liberals...you sound like a sound bite off of Dope Head Limbaug. How about having Mexico step up and actively stop mexicans from coming into America like they do folks south of their borders from entering into Mexico! Come to think of it....you're just a whole loud of noise!" -- Liberal .
"To the asshole who calls himself Liberal: Hatred and fear? American Jargon of English language? The first thing you liberals do is accuse conservatives of hatred and fear when you feel threatened. However, it is really you liberals or "progressives," (since most of you don't like to be called liberals) who are the most angry and hateful hypocrites among us. You continously live under the delusion that you are so fucking hip and elite. In reality, you are the simple ones. You cling to PC buzz words like "diversity" and "change" and numerous other cache phrases devoid of substance; phrases that wreak with a familiar rotten odor to most of us, an odor you dummies have been trying to market as a fragrance for over a century. "A whole loud of noise." What the hell does that mean? Well, at least I can give you credit for trying to learn English. " -- Richard.
