The Islamic Civilization And The Western Civilization
This is an imagined discussion between a Muslim and an atheist:
Muslim: I cannot deny the materialistic achievements of the Western Civilization: the computer, the CD, the plane, the car, the mobile...etc.But as regards the spiritual aspect of your life:
1- Millions of you do not believe in God and religion.
2- Millions of you follow Christianity and Judaism that were changed. We-Muslims- believe that Moses and the Christ are the Messengers of the the God. They invited their followers to worship the One and the Only God and to follow Mohammad or Ahmed-may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him- when he appears. But Judaism and Christianity were changed. Now, christians worship three gods and they say that they worship one god. Jews and christians believe that some prophets committed adultery and killed innocent persons.
3- In western countries, you search for happiness and tranquility by alcohol, drugs, homosexuality....etc. But you didn't find happiness. Islam achieves the balance and harmony between the soul and the body and leads you to true happiness and tranquility.
Atheist: What are the achievements of the Islamic Civilization?
Muslim: The Arabs were worshipping pieces of stone. The Iranians and the Iraqis were worshipping the fire. What can the the fire do to its worshippers but burnining them? The Syrians and the Egyptians were worshipping three gods and they were saying that they were worshipping one god only. Many Indians were worshipping the cows. Islam changed all these wrong believes. Islam is the religion of the One and Only God. Islam brought happiness and internal peace to its followers.
Atheist: I think that the world will be better with no religions at all.
Muslim: This is not true. Islam is the way to happiness in our world and in the dayafter.
Atheist: There is no dayafter.
Muslim: You neglect your soul. If you listen to the voice of your soul, you will have many questions:
1- What is the origin of the universe?
2- What is the purpose of our life?
3- Is death the end of our existence?
4- Should we worship the Creator of the universe?
Atheist: what are the answers of these questions?
Muslim: 1- The God has created the universe.
2- We were created to live on the Earth, but more important to worship our God and Creator.
3- After death, there will be the dayafter.
4- We should worship the Creator of the universe.
Atheist: I cannot deny that Muslims-in the old days- had a kind of civilization. But where are Muslims now? What are you doing now?
Muslim: 1- I invite non-Muslims to convert to Islam. I believe that we are all the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve. But some people think that they are the sons and daughters of monkeys.
2- I invite Muslims to adhere to the principles of Islam.
3- I think that there can be a union between the spiritual Islamic principles and the materialistic Western Civilization.
