                YOUR fingertips glide, barely

touching, over the skin and tiny hairs of my

legs, arms and chest. My eyes are shutting

out the room's dim light, the light we couldn't

prevent entirely. I, too, feel--touching your

lips, the roughness of your chin, your thick

brows, and the ample width of your jaws. I am

comfortable with your nearness and enjoy this

sense, albeit temporal, of your proffered se-

curity. Things mundane are far, far away

from us--out of our sights, our minds, and we

specially cherish this rare absence of haste.

I weep from joy and sheer relaxation and come

to realize that the memories of a part of this

day will turn into some of my treasures--capti-

vating keepsakes I'll stash away and retrieve

  at will.
