Angel In My Eyes
Silents

For the world to look at my soul,
would drive most people away.
But when I look back at the world,
there is little to see and smile about.
Children of the streets who will never
see the blaze of their own future,
cut down during their innocence.
Others whose lives have been taken,
not by Death, but by Evil,
the evil of those whose use of fear and intimidation.
But once in a lifetime
from somewhere out of the darkness
appears a light...
A light that gives me hope,
not only from within myself
but for all those who can see it's brilliance.
She has a smile that inspires joy,
that can warm a cold heart.
A touch that gives strength
to a soul on the brink of collapse.
This brilliant light has entered my life,
it has come to me in the form of an angel.
But this must be a cruel mistake,
For an angel to touch someone so dark.
But sometimes someone so special
can see beyond the exterior,
and see the true good of the heart.
And so it must be that this angel,
is the Angel in My Eyes.
