I Can't Be Mad
Toluwalope Olugbenga Ogunlesi

I CANT BE MAD

You cross the streets when im approaching
And tell me Im mad
Till I get weary of appealing
That my head aint gone bad

If I were a raving were
I wouldnt own a degree
And the finesse I array
Of the finest pedigree

Popping largactil doesnt make me a lunatic
Anymore than sleeping in a car makes you a garage
Largactils just a pill, like moduretic
Besides I aint got any Schizophrenics Anonymous badge

I used to have lots of money
Burn endless wads of sterling and rand
But now all Ive got left is a funny
Voice that struts like a magical wand

Im single cos I made a vow to spend
Life without getting a wife
Cos if I chose a damsel to befriend
Shed drag in a truckload of strife

Now Im an elder statesman
Wizened and filled with insight
Who deserves for Xmas a fattened ram
Not the sickly fish I get to bite
