15 Minutes Just IsnT Enough

15 Minutes Just Isnt Enough

Thats the one thing about watching TV she loved
Nike commercials
She loved the distant panning camera angles
They sweetly sculpt the latest overrated flavor of the month athlete
What was once her lifes breath
Was now her captor
Like an old star of the silver screen falling from grace
Grace that is accommodated only by youth
Once a winner in a race to sell shoes that racers race with
She tries to rationalize
IT being her personal monkey
Oh, shes got the scars on her back to prove it
She thinks...
By rational overanalyzation of the IT that I know is inevitably fleeting, is in reality only my simple admittance of the future calamity my ego will suffer through my angst ridden reliance upon IT.
IT is all about it. Isnt IT?
She knows shes going crazy
Shes right, on left
Its easy to depend on crazy when youre lazy
She wants to run away
Just as she once did on TV
Walking out of the therapists office she falls and cuts her knee
Blood red lesions feed her current state
The state doubles and triples in commercial excess
The camera pans left in slow motion
She runs hard as bloody icicles fly from her wound
She runs to forget
Feeling the need to fall into a lovers arms and transcend human emotion and sexual relevance
She needs to be held
IT is the high that is IT
Now she knows she must sell herself
Just like she once did, before IT got her lost
