David Baker

He sat in his room,
Alone in the dark,
Crying his heart through his eyes.
Unknown was the reason,
For these endless nights,
When he felt his world fade away.

When someone has everything,
How can they feel this way?
He was rich,
Popular to,
Yet the foundation of his life,
His one and only soul,
Was filled with emptyness,

He was lonely.

His tears were like acid,
As they ran down his face,
Leaving scars only he could see.
Because deep in his heart,
He always knew,
That no matter how much he loved her,
It could never be.
