Lost And Found
Richard Koss

You were the one that got away.
                                      It seems like only yesterday.
I loved you so, you'll never know,
yet somehow, I just let you go.

I watched you go your separate way,
not really knowing what to say.
And so our love went out of town,
somewhere in the lost and found.

And as the years just passed us by,
I'd often sit and wonder why
                                      with each Winter's melting snow,
we never thought to say hello.

Oh, but we did, one past December.
                                      Exactly when, I can't remember.
Yes, our love went out of town,
somewhere in the lost and found.

Today we're free, but we can see
it really wasn't meant to be.
Love that's lost, you'll never find.
Though it lingers on, within your mind.

So once again we'll say goodbye
and be content to wonder why
we let our love go out of town,
somewhere in the lost and found.
