THE AUTHOR
I love reading my old stuff. It shows me how bad I really was. So I culled a little, getting rid of the truly terrible stuff, and leaving some of the semi-terrible stuff for laughs.
I've been published in a poetry book (The Nightingale). Oher then that I have no real 'accomplishment' when it comes to writing. I attempt to be honest in my work, drawing very rarely from my experience (I have a drama free and relatively boring life) and instead drawing on imagination and my family and friends.
I write better when I'm in a depressed mood. So that's why at the moment I rarely write. that and it doesn't matter if I write or not.

It's been about 3 hours since I was told the news...
The news that another cousin has died...
This time I was there, in the hospital, waiting...
Just waiting, for good news for any news as long as it wasn't bad...
for three years now I've been worried weather I'd see him 'next time' or not, I now have an answer: No I will not...
sitting in the hospital next to grandma who was crying,
waiting to see if he'd pull through,
All that went through my head was "Maybe If I had prayed more..."
I wish I had known him better, had more time with him,
The best memory I have of him is from when I was little
jumping on a trampoline and shouting at him "Rock 'n' Roll" to hit the trampoline faster or "Jazz" to make him hit it slower...
That was when he had long hair... That was a good day...
Matt, Goodbye... Whenever I need to get through something I'll think of you... And then I know you can help me make it...
