A Lost Love Is Hard To Find
R Duncan

I looked through red rimmed misty eyes
I saw a broken heart laying in the snow
I wondered did it fall or slip
or had just nowhere else to go

Was it lost or just dazed
why was it laying there
I stood amazed and thought
doesn't anybody care

One day that heart was beating sound
full of love so full of joy
now it's laying on the ground
like some child's cast away toy

I heard it's painful cry
as it lay there getting cold
what is there left for me
I'm weak and I am old

I'm searching everywhere for my owner
who cares and to me is kind
but it is so dark in here just now
and a lost love is hard to find.
