Sharing The Burden
Coreyr Strahan

I want with you to share my burden

Of a highly focused mind

You need to make sure youíre certain

Recognition isnít always kind

Ignorance will have its perks

And avoidance is the safest way

That isnít how a clear mind works

It foresees a harder day

If youíre strong and never flee

Brave enough to always try

Then where shoulders used to be

Wings will sprout and you will fly

For life has purpose for those who

Decide to meet it at the door

And as the days till death accrue

Youíll be proud you asked for more

True regret will come to those

Who canít change and didnít try

For youíre the only one who knows

If your life has been a lie
