EXT.INTERSTATE-NOON
It's summer afternoon.The Sun rays beam down on the interstate.Cars,Trucks,and 18 wheelers whizz past!
A thin Man,around mid 40's,scraggly beard,Cap,and wearing a Backpack walks alongside the Interstate.His hitchhiker thumb held out.
Suddenly a mid 80's Chevy Truck pulls over.From the look of the men inside the truck,we see that these are two Southern good old boys.
The Driver of the Truck:around mid 30's,Cap,Sleeveless plaid shirt,and his passenger: wears a T shirt,crew cut,around late 30's,turns a beer can up to his mouth.
The Hitchhiker walks up to the truck.
DRIVER
How far ya going?
HITCHHIKER
As far as you can take me.
DRIVER
Well me and mike here going as far as the next town.You can hop on the back if ya like.
HITCHHIKER
Much obliged.
The Hitchhiker climbs into the beer can lined truck bed.The old Chevy truck's motor rumbles as it pulls off.
NARRATOR(V.O)
Meet the Hitchhiker.An aimless wanderer traveling across country.He will soon find out that some roads are better left,less traveled.
EXT.RURAL TOWN-NOON
The Chevy Truck pulls over on the side of the road.The Hitchhiker leaps out of the truck bed.
DRIVER
Hope this helps.
HITCHHIKER
Thanks a lot.
DRIVER
My names Johnny.Never got your name.
HITCHHIKER
Larry.
jOHNNY
Nice to meet ya.Well take care Larry.Later.
The Truck pulls off.Leaving Larry beside the road.Larry sees a Convenient Store across the street.
The sign on the Convenient Store reads-SPEEDY STOP.
INT.SPEEDY STOP
Larry is at the Check out counter.He pays for some can goods.The Cashier:an elderly lady wearing glasses,hands Larry his change.Her Name Tag reads:EDITH.
Edith bags Larry's items.
EDITH
I hope you're just passing through mister.Strange things happen around these parts at night.
Larry picks up his bags.
EDITH
Whatever you do stay on the main road.Don't stray off the main road.
EXT.RURAL STRETCH OF HIGHWAY-NOON
Larry walks down the highway.His hitch hiker thumb held out.Soon Noon transitions to evening.
The Sun begins to sink behind the Treeline.Cars traveling on the highway become scarce.Larry walks along a desolate highway.
He comes up on a long gravel road,leading through the woods.
EXT.LONG GRAVEL ROAD-EVENING
Larry walks down the gravel road.He comes upon an abandoned house.A derelict trailer sets beside it.
INT.LIVING ROOM-ABANDONED HOUSE-NIGHT
Larry has made a small fire in the ruined house.He sets at the fire eating.
After consuming the last bite,he rummages through his backpack.He pulls out a water bottle.
The bottle is empty.He delves deeper into his pack.Pulls out another empty water bottle.
Larry utters a curse.He has no water.Suddenly he looks through the hole in the wall.All the Lights are on,inside the trailer!
Larry walks outside to get a better view.He proceeds toward the trailer.
Larry's POV-He walks through high grass,and smut weeds.Mosquitoes hum around his ear.He swats them away with his hand,as he draws closer to the trailer.
Larry Knocks on the Trailer's glass front door. BAM-BAM-BAM!
No answer.Larry opens the glass door,and is about to knock on the wood door.He discovers the door is partially open!
He pushes the door open.He proceeds inside.
INT.HALLWAY-TRAILER
Larry cautiously walks down the hallway.He comes upon the:
KITCHEN
Larry's POV-A Woman dressed in pink blouse/black slacks,stands with her back turned to him.She is facing what appears to be an old Man.
Only his arms are visible.The flesh seems to hang from his arms!There are Chicken parts in the sink.
LARRY
Hello.
Suddenly the Woman turns around.Larry is shocked by her appearance!Skin hangs from her face!An older woman enters the kitchen!
She is Hunchbacked,with extremely saggy skin!

Who is there?
LARRY
I'm sorry for intruding.I'm from next door.
The woman in pink blouse/black slacks,walks toward Larry.She stops in front of him.She responds in a gravelly voice!
WOMAN
We Knoooow.We were in the decompression chamber.
Larry looks at the man at the table.His skin sags.He looks extremely old.
LARRY
I'm going to leave now.
WOMAN
Turn off the lights.
Larry flips the wall switch.Turning off the light.He quickly exits the trailer!Once out he turns and looks back!
Larry's Pov-He sees a figure staring at him through the glass door!The figure is Ghoulish,with glowing green eyes!
The glass door of the trailer slowly creaks open!The Creature is coming out!
Larry runs!
Larry's Pov-Larry runs through the high grass!He makes it back on the long gravel road,leading through the woods!Time seems to come to a crawl!
Each step seems to take an eternity! Crickets chirp in the night,as Larry flees for his life,down the night covered road!
Suddenly dark figures emerge from the woods,and out of the thin air!Larry stops!
He is surrounded!The dark figures are slowly moving in on him!Their glowing green eyes are all focused on Larry!
Larry has nowhere to run.The Ghoulish figures slowly close in on him!
FADE TO BLACK.
We hear a blood curdling scream from Larry!
FADE IN.
EXT.LONG GRAVEL ROAD-EVENING
We are standing at the entrance of the long gravel road,leading through the woods.
EDITH(V.O)
Strange things happen around these parts at night.Whatever you do stay on the main road.Don't stray off the main road.
FADE TO BLACK.
THE END.
