Heroin Trip 3
Kendall Wilt

"Agghhhh, Something tells me today's gonna suck." Allop plotters. I agreed, Celia agreed. We were all in this together. Mid afternoon started with a scarcely packed morning bowl. Lunch followed with chips and granola's from my bag. Yellow submarine blasting out of the smashed up trunk. We were having so much fun there in the car laughing and singing along, that the knock on the window sounded like it was just the beat. Suddenly the tarp was snatched up from one side of the car and light flooded in, putting us to silence. Celia jumped and latched on to my sholders so at first I couldn't see. I looked at Allop looking under his seat for a weapon. Then I rudely pushed Celia to the side. I got a good gander and realised it was just a dirty ole bum. I cracked the window and told him to skidattle but he wanted to come in and hang out. I know we were taking a big chance but I opened the driver door for him.

"Hi, How ya'll doing? Wheh, It sure is gettin hot out there. I tell ya, I haven't seen anyone with a house this nice in a while. You guys got some luxury livin here. You sure got it smellin like some weed up in here." He exploded. I explained to the guy that we were broke, no more weed only resin, and we were out of food. Not to mention my rent was going to be due real soon. He told us about his problems too and we went on from there. Finally getting to the heroin early in the evening. " Heroin! Let me try some! I'll tell you if it's good or not." So we pulled him out a little pinch. " Hey man, what are you trying to kill me! There's no way I can do all that. I ain't Kurt Cobain you know." I felt dumb for a second but then I got an idea.

In the matter of minutes we had become underworld drug lords and this was our fancy Lincoln. Allop was the no bullshit body gaurd. Celia was my sexy sidekick and I introduced myself as Don. The bum was confused by our story, he obviously knew more about that kind of stuff than we did becuase he kept correcting us. He also got up and started to unbuckle his belt. All I could think of to say was, " No, don't piss on me!". I couldn't have sounded less threatening, my story was wearing thin and it had only been five minutes. He continued to yank his belt, Celia cringed at the site of his tugging and the gusts of stink that kept flying off the guy. He finally settled down after he got his belt off. He immediatly wrapped it around his arm and pulled out a big ass turkey baster. I was surprised when I saw that. I thought you were supposed to use needles. He tightened the belt and smacked his arm a few times. Then he bit one of the viens until it drew blood. After he sucked all his blood away he quickly put a small pile on his cut. He covered the pile with his turkey baster and began pumping. It was like he was using a bike pump instead of an air compressor to get high. He probably gave the baster a good twenty squeezes then he settled back into the seat, let out a big breathe, closed his eyes and didn't say a word. I waited a minute for him to come back to life but I finally had to tap him to get his attention. He popped up wide awake and continued talking, it was kind of weird.

I continued with my grassroots mob boss campain until he was finally conviced that he needed to help us with our troubles or else. He had seen too much. He agreed to get rid of the stuff for us easily. One last threat and he shuffled his way out of the car. We popped in Sergent Peppers and kicked back to some resin and cigerrettes. We questioned whether he would come back or not but it wasn't long before we heard knocks on the window then up with the tarp. Lots of strange faces peered in from the other side of the glass. All homeless folks waving bills of all worths and values. Allops eyes lit up and cried, "Steak", very loudly. I knew excatly what that ment. I rolled down the window a little and took their money as I pinched them a little bit out of my big bit. They just kept coming and coming. Everyone I told to keep their mouth shut or unless they would loose this bad ass connection. Each one skipped away with a new found happiness, some ran. There were so many of them coming that I just started throwing the money in Celia's lap. Finally we served the last one and the storm was over.

After the crowd of mutants disappeared we were left alone there in our Lincoln with only a pile of money to keep us company. After counting the wad we figured we had a little over seven hundred community dollars plus however much we slipped in our pockets without the others knowing. Indeed we were happy now, Lovey Rita blaring in the background. Our smiles were bigger than our car and we wondered what would be our next move. We knew we wanted to stay in this prime spot. Now that we had income we had to be responsible and show up to work everyday. It was our plan, that until we ran out of our supply we had to stay. It was a pretty good spot. We hadn't heard any cars or workers buzzing around and we felt safe with the security of our tarp. It was agreed that no matter what we did, we had to come back by morning and really put in a full day now that the word was out. Then we went out for some steaks.
