Where am I? I reach into the pocket of my faded jeans. I pull out something that looks like a pouch made from some sort of reptile skin. It is scaly, and transparent purple. I open it and inside the pouch there seems to be a smooth, shiny substance. I do not know what it is. Should I touch the stuff? Or should I leave it? As my conscious argues, my mind is in turmoil. I dont remember this being here. Something, or someone, MUST have put it in my pocket for a reason. I decide to feel what type of texture it has, maybe that will jog my memory. I dip my hand in and as soon as it connects with the milky substance, memories flood my head faster than racing rapids. This is dragon dust. The only type of magical dust that can restore the human mind! A flashback occurs. A dragon, named Kiaro, befriends me, it seems like, and she is in trouble!I must help her! What the-- doors are appearing out of nowhere! "Use your mind to be the key" Who said that? "Kiaro, your dragon" Where are you? Can I speak with my mind? "Yes, you are now aren't you?" Oh yeah! "Now mortal,--" Why do you call me mortal? "Do you know the difference between immortal and mortal?" Nope. "An immortal being is someone or something that can live forever and is more powerful than mortals. Mortals are like humans and animals, such as yourself." So you're saying you're better than me? "Yes. Now as I was saying, Oh dear! I am trapped in the ice palace, use you're mind and be the key.... ROAR! Quickly! Before its to late...." Too late?... Kiaro, are you there? Kiaro? No answer. Use my mind and be the key? I close my eyes. Hey, in the black emptiness, I can see a key! "Quickly, take it mortal! You'll never get the chance again!" How? Wait, theres an arm and a hand! It reaches out and grabs the key. I open my eyes. My hands are clenched and I open them out. They reveal a key, just like the one I saw. The doors! Which one of them do I open? Oh wait, there's one that's already open. The key fades into nothingness and my hands grasp nothing but air. I stand up and walk through the door, hang on, its a portal! Apparently it seems like it is taking me to the place where Kiaro is. How can I tell? You know those voices on the train and they tell you where the next stop is? That's like a portal, it has a voice, but it feels like you're floating when you're just standing there. Ah! I've arrived! And there is Kiaro, and how big um, IT is. (I don't know whether it's a boy or a girl) "You've finally made it." Yes. How do i free you from these iron restraints? "Heat it up." That sounds like a song i've heard. "This is no laughing matter. Hurry!" I close my eyes again. I see the arm, and a fireplace... Now I see an anvil and hammer, and I see the iron restraints. The hand and arm grabs the hammer and hammers violently at the anvil. It turns red then shatters into a million tiny pieces. I open my eyes again. Kiaro is standing up. "Thank you mortal, but there is much more danger ahead of you..." TO BE CONTINUED
