DESCRIPTION
In the Anglican Church calendar there is period called Lent in which the preaching, teaching and songs selected for worship center on Jesus Christ�s suffering, death and mighty resurrection.
There was a day I went early for praise team rehearsals at St Mary�s Anglican and as I was waiting for other choir members to come I started playing something on the keyboard.
I was inspired by pictures of Christ�s suffering which were displayed in the church during this period and found my self singing Tiyenera kukukondani translated �We must love you Lord�. This became the idea on which I finally wrote the song Tiyenera Kukukondani.
Philippians 2:8-11
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Therefore God has exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father.
When I look at how Jesus suffered for my sins I bow down and submit before Him and in this song I am urging everyone to do the same.
