Daisy Chain Poem
Brittney R

Little girls with bows in their hair
Sweet bubbly laugh as light as air
Pink dress floating, beauty unseen
Thinking about what may have been
Twisting and twirling in the rain
Pretty girl, making daisy chains

A princess saved by a knight
Bedtime story, then tucked in tight
She has a smile lighting up the sky
Daddy's little girl's about to fly
Running and jumping in the rain
Pretty girl, making daisy chains

Golden hair kissed by sunshine
A hug from mum and you'll be fine
Make a wish upon that star
You'll be blessed wherever you are
Spinning and dancing in the rain
Pretty girl, making daisy chains

Playing dolls, the host of a tea party
Picking an outfit for Barbie off the rack
Now your a teenager, past those things
Shining curls falling down your back
Hugging and kissing in the rain
Pretty girl, making daisy chains

Grown up now and in love at best
Walking towards your prince in a white dress
Soon your tummy's growing fast
A mother's love developing to last
Staring at your new little girl, worth the pain
Watching as she grows up
And making daisy chains
