them what we were going to do to celebrate this wonderful moment. They told me that we were invited to a party.

I got very disappointed because I thought that we were going to do something all together, as a family, only the 5 of us. That’s weird, but I’m not into meeting new people and spending the most significant new years party ever with complete strangers, so you can see how disappointed I was.

My parents were getting ready very happily, talking about other things, but I was so mad about it that I couldn’t get it out of my head. All I could think about is me, in a room full of strange people hugging them and saying "happy new year".

When I arrived at the party that night, I greeted everybody and I started talking to them so I wont feel like they were complete strangers. While I was talking to them, I noticed that everyone in the party was form Cali, and that was a real surprise because, I mean, the party was in Miami after all. That made me feel comfortable already.

It was 10:30pm and I was not having too much fun because everyone was older than me. Everyone was the age of my parents so there wasn’t anyone I could really talk to. I over herd my mom and a friend of hers talking, saying that her son and his friends were gonna be here any minute. That made me feel great because I had herd that her son was very cute. The only problem was that I didn’t know his age, I was afraid he was older like everyone else.

Soon, the party started getting good. Like everyone was from Cali, most of them know how to dance and the host loved to dance so the party totally changed into what I called a real "party".

After dancing with my dad and brother a hundred times, I was getting kind of bored and I thought that I herd wrong about the boys coming but in that exact moment, when I had my hopes down, I herd a voice behind me: "hi".

I turned around and it was the cutest guy I ever saw. I felt relieved because he looked 15, and of course I love older guys so I never made a bored face again.

First, all his friends danced with me, they were really nice and cute too but I had never seen a guy so good looking as him in my life! So I was certainly waiting for him to ask me to dance.

I was always starring at them because when a song ended, they all went and gathered together in a group, like if they had to discuss about everyone they danced with. While I was looking, I noticed that they were talking and then looking at me, then talking some more. I felt very nervous because I was the only giro teenager at the party and they had no one else to look at.

I was siting in my table with my parents and brothers and they started to come forward, when they were almost arriving to my table, all of the cute guys friends went other directions and soon he was the only one walking towards me. I tried not to look nervous but I guess I had no way to hide it, my eyes spelled nervousness. When he finally arrived, he didn’t say a word, he just passed me his hand. I looked at it and without even thinking my hand stretched out and grabbed his.

In the dance floor he was great, I had seen him dance before with other women, one of them my mother. Once she finished dancing with him she told his mom that he is a great dancer.

We were very quiet while dancing. When the song was almost ending he asked me my name; I told him and asked him his. His name is Ricky. I didn’t even like that name before I met him, but now I love it! I was kind of sad because the song was ending but as soon as it ended another song started and he never let go of me, and of course I didn’t either. The second time we danced I was a lot more conformable therefore we talked a lot more. He told me who his friends were here in Cali and I knew them so we could really comprehend each other. We had the same taste in music and liked the same TV shows.

We danced a lot together. I spent most of the night in his arms and that was great because that had never happened to me before.

It was time to eat. That meant no dancing, which was sad, but I was hungry so that was ok. When we stopped eating, and the music started again we danced together and he told me that if I was doing something the day after. I told him I had no plans so he asked me out to a club near my house. At that moment lots of things went through my head, like: "Do I look that old?"

I told him that we were to young to enter and he said that if I was going with him, there was no problem. His brother is a DJ of the club that he asked me out to so we could enter with no problem.

First of all, he asked me if my parents let me go out. The truth is that I had never gone out like in a date and less if it was in a club, but I told him yes anyway. What was so sweet was that he went and asked my mom personally if I could go and she said yes. She didn’t tell me about it so I thought that there was no way I was going but when I found out I was very happy.

My father didn’t know yet, which was good because theirs no way he is going to let me go out to a club with a 15-yr. old. When he called me he found out because he answered and he was going to consider it but when I told him that he was going to pick me up and 11:30, he went ballistic on me. So I had to call him up and tell him that I couldn’t go which was really embracing because my mother had said yes already.
