It gets so lonely, being alone
Sitting in darkness thinking of you
What are you doing, who are you with
Are you thinking of me?
Do you want what I want
Does my dedication mean anything
Trapped in a prison, self-inflicted
Sentenced to a world of stasis
Forlornment is an ugly thing
Patience and calm are my seclusions
Not wanting to face the confusion
Nor make any intrusion
Praying that what you see is not
And what you don't is what you want
Looking at reality, convincing yourself
In your blindness it's not real
How the imagination runs wild
Is it wild?
Spend your whole life denying a certain reality
If it's not real, it can't hurt you
When the truth is revealed, it destroys you
That stuff doesn't really happen
That's in some movie, ignorance is bliss
That stuff does happen, it's in our sinful nature
Rethink reality
Rethink yourself
Rethink your life
Rethink friends
Rethink your family
Rethink your decisions
Redesign your world
With only your safety in mind
And turn reality back into fantasy
One happy moment.
