�Now come on Suchi! We are getting late.� Yelled Mr. Nayar.
�You don�t have a bit of patience, I�m ready. Let�s go�. Replied Mrs. Nayar coming to the drawing room.
This is Mr. and Mrs. Nayar. Mr. Shyam Nayar is a manager with a multinational bank and Mrs. Suchitra Nayar is working with an NGO. Both live a life of complete luxury and are in their mid 30�s. They attend parties almost every weekend, but the party they are going for today is a special one. Both of them are bit nervous about it.
They drove for half an hour in complete silence, each immersed in its own thought. When they reach the venue, they saw that everyone had come and they are last to arrive. Everyone welcomed them with hoots and cheers. All began to enjoy ht party with wine, music, dance and the latest gossips. After the dinner, Mr. Mehta placed a foaming jug of beer in the center table and called for everyone�s attention. He started dramatically �so ladies and gentlemen, here for the event of the evening, I ask all the gentlemen to drop their car keys in this jug�. Everyone obeys him. He continues, now I will ask all the lovely ladies to pick up the keys, he then adds mischievously � the lady will go for the rest of the night with the person whose key she picks. So, ladies be careful!�
Yes! Now you guessed Mr. and Mrs. Nayar had come to attend a wife swapping party. All the procedure was completed and everyone started leaving with their partners. While leaving with Mrs. Patel Mr. Nayar saw Suchitra moving towards the car of Mr. Kapoor.
Mr. Nayar returned home at 70'clock in the morning. He opened the doors of the apartment with his own keys. Suchitra had not arrived yet. He lay on the couch in the drawing room. He was enjoying the silence of the apartment. In his solitariness, he thought about the previous night, Mrs. Patel and���.lot more. He started humming, he had a wonderful night Mrs. Patel was indeed a good company. Suddenly he started considering their act; he thought �was it right? He argued with himself, "No he had not done anything wrong". He is not hiding anything from his wife. It was just a night�s stand, and his wife too is a part of it. They still love and are loyal to each other. His thoughts were intervened by the doorbell. He opened the door. It was Suchitra. �Hi! Good morning�. They both hugged and greeted each other. He tried to ignore the smell of the perfume lingering in her hairs. It was not her brand. They both sat on the couch, resting their backs on the cushions.
�You look tired,� asks Mr. Nayar
�Yeah� she replied briefly.
After a brief pause, he started again �so you enjoyed the company of Mr. Kapok�. Not sure whether he really want to listen or not.
�You know, what bore he is. The entire night he kept me busy by reciting all his nonsense poems. Just to be polite I had to praise his writing skills. After that he started with the gossips from the literary circle and only stopped when I felt asleep. With whom did you left?�
�Mrs. Patel, what a big boozer she is. By the time we left the party, she was almost drunk. Then for half of the night, she kept crying and narrated how pathetic her life with Mr. Patel is. I gave her a sympathetic hearing and at last made her rest. I spend rest of my night watching TV�.
�So, it was the buzz for both of us� commented Suchitra.
�Yeah� replied Mr. Nayar, closing his eyes, because he wanted to avoid Suchitra�s eyes, where behind the curtain he might see his very own truth. He didn�t� realized that Suchitra too had her eyes shut for the very same reason.
