ABOUT THE AUTHOR
To those who've seen my old description, I'm sure you'll be pleased to see a refreshing lack of arrogance. If you missed it, sucks to be you.
I'm a free-lance writer and barrista from the Midwest. I'm still trying to get more of my poetry and fiction on here, so be patient. In the meantime, please post reviews; I love reading what you all think. Write me email too, I need new victims.. er... friends.
As usual, welcome to my madness, and happy reading.

Bodies At Rest (Poetry) I lost this piece some months ago; searched all over, couldn't find it anywhere... It's funny how life works. Just about the same time I finally got over the girl who inspired it, I found it in the s... [54 words] [Relationships]
Crimes Of Love - In Three Acts (Poetry) This piece descibes the little deaths we string together- and call a lifetime. [297 words]
Faded Edges (Poetry) Read "Bodies at Rest" first. It helps to keep the time-line in order. [154 words] [Relationships]
Rachaela (Poetry) This poem is old, more so even than I. At the time, I thought it was possible to find myself in someone else. Such is the nature of being lost. We will cling to anything, and think it a true North. No... [429 words]

Jim's Lament
A J Magy

Thus he took the world and remade it;
 reshaped it in his own image
 and breathed the fettid stench of life upon it
 and called it his home.

 For though we must live it this hell, let it be a hell of my own construct;
 where the ways are paved with the flesh of the still-borne babes, wrenched incomplete from the wombs of the weeping mothers,
 and we, the leeches, may grow fat on the blood of the lambs.

 Sanctisario, digitario, luminario... Lumana rosario
 This is the way the world shall end: Sacrament of numbers, and the light... a flash of the ruddy light.

"Ancient creature, ancient pain, intriguing poem" -- EADVD.
"Now, I'm not so sure about this one A.J. I can't read Latin, so the significance of this is lost to me! However, I do know what I like when I read it and your other piece's were a pleasure to read! Good Luck!" -- Monte, USA.
"Hey kids! Don't try to figure this one. It's my favorite part of a soliloquey (spelling) I wrote for a vampire in an RPG. Granted I could have refrained from posting it here, and spared you all the time wasted overthinking it; but where's the fun it that?!" -- AJ Magy.
" #1 Title: Acceptable. #2 Spelling and grammatical errors: Fettid has only one t. #3 Opinion: Murky, terribly difficult to understand, though it obviously isnt a happy poem. #4 Suggestions: Before the poem begins Id suggest letting the reader, who may not know dead languages as well as you or I, know that the Latin words that you use are the very same that you then follow with in English, so that they dont waste his/her time hunting down a Latin to English dictionary. " -- JA St.George.
"See? I told you not to overthink it. You poor sad bastard." -- AJ Magy.
