North Pole
Alyssa B

I went to the North Pole last night in my dreams.
It felt so real-this is what I had seen.
I saw lots of red and lts of green.
I met Dasher and Dancer and saw elves with pointy ears.
Similing and laughing filled with good cheer.
Building and working hard as can be.
Then one of them smiled and pointed toward me.
He said:

Hear the bells, hear them ring.
See the bear way down there.
Drinking ice cold root beer.
Let's take a tour of the pole.
Button up cause it's going to get cold.
Come on lets go!

Did you know we have an elf school.
Mrs. Clause was my teacher.
I think she was more of a preacher.
Did you know we have a reindeer barn.
Come and meet Comet and Prancer.
I believe you already know Dasher and Dancer.
Did you know we have a naughty and nice archieve.
We even had many toy machines.
Over here he said smiling toward me!

Hear the bells, hear them ring.
See the bear way down there.
Drinking ice cold root beer.
Let's take a tour of the pole.
Button up cause it's going to get cold.
Come on lets go!

Come in the workshop I have a job for you.
Could you build a scooter and paint it blue.
Can you feed the reindeer please.
Only five more minutes till Christmas Eve.
Wrap the presents nice and tight.
You dont want Santa to make a fight.
You did a good job at that.
Here is the number one elf hat.
Suddenly I hear a buzzing in my ear.
I wake up-wow that felt so real!
I guess it was all just a dream
But wait look at that...How did I get the number one elf hat...Hmmmmmmm?

Hear the bells, hear them ring.
See the bear way down there.
Drinking ice cold root beer.
Let's take a tour of the pole.
Button up cause it's going to get cold.
Come on lets go!

Hear the bells, hear them ring.
See the bear way down there.
Drinking ice cold root beer.
Let's take a tour of the pole.
Button up cause it's going to get cold.
Come on lets go!

"You are so lucky to have visited as i saw on television the magic in sick childrens eyes and the joy of going there too. Watching the document on television l never new that they only have a few hours of daylight there and the snow at christmas time - i am not sure which Airport the flights went from in Britain and it is only about 2 hours flight. What a nice place to be in during Xmas. Enjoyed your poem." -- Amy, hayes, UK.
