One Last Ride
Luke Mahossal Iii

She was a promising young horse rider
with total drive and stamina.
The wind was blowing hard and the stable was
shaking like a kid in a haunted house.
The jump over the fence to practice for the finals
was one she'd never forget.
Her head hit the fence hard like a brick through glass
shattering every bone in her body.
The horse fell on top of her and she was paralyzed for
life. Five years went by and her best friend made it to
the finals and she lifted the trophy high over her head
as Tiffany cried as her dream had been taken from her.
In just one second her whole life was altered, she then
found out later that had she waited until the wind died out
she would still have a career in riding.
Now she is a Computer Tech and never even watches the
races or any competitions ever again.
