Floating dreams and hinting lights,
I wake up to shadows and lingering smell of your hair,
Sinking ships and fallen angels,
and I still can�t sleep,
my wings can expand,
I can no longer be the one� there at your side,
watching you in the morning light,
turn away to feel your smile.
The world I see is in black and white,
No longer in color HD.
I�m starting to feel the gloom,
the TV is on Saturday morning cartoons and I can�t feel your smile,
the warmth that it brought,
Even if it�s a feeling this soulless corpse can�t feel.
I touch you to feel alive,
I speak to you not to feel alone,
and the wind that blows your hair is my hand caressing your face.
Through shadows and the world covered in a thought,
I can go anywhere I wanna go,
I can�t leave,
you�re home,
The only thing I�ve ever done right.
Don�t cry,
the pain will subside,
just lay in bed next to me,
if you�re quiet you�ll hear the wind speak,
�I�m ok�Don�t cry, I�ll be by your side.�
Only if my touch would heal the wounds,
and my voice sooth the void between the silence,
maybe you wouldn�t feel alone,
and tomorrow you�d fine hope.
I don�t mean to linger,
I just can�t go on,
listen to the wind,
the breeze at night is just me,
say good night to the kids,
I can no longer feel, see the world in color and smell your hair in your side of the bed.
