- ... say something stupid.
- As stupid as?
- I dont know ... As stupid as anything ... or anybody ... whatever .. I dont care.
- As stupid as you?
- Hey! Im not stupid. I might be dumb. But stupid? Stupids not me. Im not stupid.
- You see, therein lies your stupidity. You cant distinguish the difference that doesnt exist between the words stupid and dumb. Youre not just stupid. Youre dumb!
- Oh ... like youre the one to say huh?
- Between us both? Yes! ... Im the one to say ...
- Say what?
- That youre stupid.
- And dumb ?
- Yes. And dumb too!
- Hmmm ..... So, of all the stupid things in the world that you can come up with, you come up with Im stupid.
- Im not stupid. Youre stupid.
- Thats what I meant! You get the gist.
- Hmm .... Gist ..... Gist .... Gist isnt your kind of word. It isnt ...
- What?
- It isnt ...
- It isnt the kind of word stupid people would use?
- Exactly! You know ... you might not be as stupid as I think you are.
- Really? Thank you.
- But youre still as dumb as I think you are.
- So Im not stupid anymore. But Im dumb.
- Not really. Like I said before : youre not just stupid. Youre dumb.
- I thought you just said that I wasnt stupid anymore.
- Right.
- So Im not stupid. Im dumb!
- Exactly. Go on.
- You know, I dont see why you seem to go on about me being dumb. Ive known more dumb people than me.
- Thats what dumb people do. They know other dumb people.
- I know you!
- But Im not dumb.
- Are you stupid then?
- Nope. Not that too.
- I think you are.
- Prove it.
- You want a dumb man to prove your stupidity?
- Right.
- You want a dumb man to prove your stupidity!
- So?
- How can a dumb man prove your stupidity?
- Exactly! Thats the point!
- Whats the point?
- Youre dumb!
- Not stupid!
- Not stupid.
- Just dumb!
- Just dumb.
- You know, they ought to have those quotients for stupid people like us.
- Us?
- Me. Whatever ...
- Quotients? What quotients?
- You know .... those intelligence quotient type things.
- You mean like IQ?
- Exactly! It could be called .. uh ...
- Dont say SQ!
- Not SQ! SD Stupidity DISquotient!
- Disquotient? I dont even think thats a real word.
- Oh yeah? Then whats the opposite of quotient?
- Misquotient? ... Nope ... Doesnt feel right ...
- Come on! Youre the smart one here! You ought to know!
- Nonquotient! That feels more correct.
- Im not sure about nonquotient. Disquotient sounds better! It sounds more ...
- Respectable?
- Sophisticated!
- Sophisticated? Yeah right! ... Why would you even want to devise the SD in the first place though? The IQ is already a measure for stupidity.
- No, its not!
- Yes it is!
- Its a measure for intelligence. Im talking stupidity here. In case you dont already know, theres a difference!
- Oh definitely! Theres a difference.
- Exactly. So we should have a quotient for stupidity.
- But how will it be scored? I mean should a low score mean a higher level of stupidity or a lower level of stupidity?
- You see ... my thinking is that --
- Your thinking?
- That's what I said - my thinking!
- Okay! Your thinking! ... I'm sorry! Go on.
- My thinking is that since intelligence is totally different from stupidity, the scoring should also be totally different. In fact, it should be the exact opposite.
- So youre saying that a low score means a high stupidity level.
- It only makes more sense.
- It makes more stupid sense! That's the only sense it makes!
- Well ... it makes something! And besides, even stupid sense is still a sense. You can't underestimate sense!
- True.
- The way I look at it is that stupid people are associated with low figures. They always have the lowest grades in school. They have a low IQ! Basically theyre a very lowly people! The SD must acknowledge that fact and award points accordingly.
- Interesting ...
- Its not interesting. Its stupid! Thats what it is.
- You know what they say right? Stupid is what stupid does.
- Im stupid!
- ... and thats what you do!
- You know ... I now understand how all those people mustve felt!
- So now youre THOSE people!
- Im those people!
- What people are you talking about anyways?
- All those people that come up with new ideas and inventions.
- So the SD is a new idea now?
- Of course!
- Its a stupid thing! Its barely new and its not even an idea!
- If its not new, how come Ive never heard of it?
- Because youre stupid!
- Hey! I might be stupid, but Im not deaf!
- Anyhow, Im not sure you can call SD an idea. How will the scoring be done?
- You see ... Stupidity cant be represented by a low number. Its a feeling!
- Feeling? Really? What kind of a feeling?
- Its hard to explain ...
- Well ... Give me some examples about how it feels .... I mean youre stupid. And youre good at it. You must have something to say about feeling stupid .... I dont know ... say something stupid.
- As stupid as?
- I dont know ... As stupid as anything ... or anybody ... whatever .. I dont care.
- As stupid as you?
