The Conception Of Reality
Mike Piotrowski

I want to escape to a vastly different conception of reality,

A reality that is not governed by humanities own set of barriers and constraints,

These barriers and constraints are set in place to create a form of mechanical or factory like existence,

An existence that is slowly starting to exhaust and deplete humanities warmth, kindness and love into something cold, metallic and machine like in nature,

Our once beautiful world is now turning into a much different canvas,

A canvas that is slowly losing its colour into something more grey and black,

The once beloved tress are starting to wither away,

The sparkling blue water of this world is now brown and polluted with toxins,

Even the air we breathe is no longer clean and fresh,

This toxic and bleak environment is a by product of what humanity has become,

It is this toxic and polluted blood that courses through our veins, which leads to a sick and unhealthy mind,

A mind that creates these barriers and constraints that are based on greed, power and domination, which will eventually lead to the downfall of man,

For this reason I want to escape to a vastly different conception of reality,

A reality where the love and beauty of humanity can flourish and bloom into something of unknown wonders,

This reality I seek may never come, but thoughts like these keep the fire that still burns in all of us still lit,

It is this fragile, dying flame that still keeps us human...
