Chapter Two
She had done it again and again, every morning she dreaded looking at her arms for fear of seeing what she knew was there. As she lay in her warm bed, her mind remembered the night before. She had spoken to him, it had been a wonderful conversation, but what made it unbearable was that she knew why it had been so great. It was a goodbye conversation. Freedom at last�
�spinning that I can�t control, dreaded spinning, it�s driving me crazy. I want to let go and be free. Emotions are flooding through me and I can�t control them, I just want to cry and then scream and then hit something and then I just want to sit down and cry again�
She was dreading every moment she would have to walk this planet for what felt like was going to be eternity. Her arms were worse than ever and she kept on drifting away into a nightmare. He was at war, she couldn�t comprehend how her sixteen year old love could be at war. Every time somebody asked what was wrong she felt as if she was going to drown�
�I can�t swim any longer, the tears that are flooding down my face are taking over, the fear of losing him, the fear of losing myself, I can�t take it. I just want it over, just to hear his voice, just to hear him say my name would be enough to keep me going�
She rushed into the house and sat down at the computer, while she waited for the line to connect, the endless possibilities shot at her from all directions. Is he dead? Is he alive? Is he hurt? She read her e-mail, he was okay, but she still missed him and still wanted to hear his v
