The Tears I Cry

The tears I cry are for the living, as well as for the dead
The sorrow I feel is fuelled by the memories, which still dwell within my head
The horrors that I've seen, should never have been seen at all
The fear I've felt, the screams I've heard, as comrades one by one would fall
I cry these tears without shame, for the living and the dead
For those left out in the battlefield, for those with the battlefield left in their head.
