The Title Is Why
C Simnitt

Crimsom sky glooms overhead
Starlight flows like tears
Tearing from deep inside your mind
A host to all your fears...

Sitting alone with my heart in the dark
Wishing upon a fallen star
Cursed is an empty day
That passes without your presence

The days run short
And the journey more long
Day and night I ask," why'd I let it go wrong"

Maybe not possible
Maybe not from the beginning
I wasn't playing with a full deck
So I lost my winnings

Probably can't understand
The humiliation taken on
But I'll always bear
The scars of my response

Loose ground,upon which I stand
The sky fades to red
The loss of your essence
The rejection,I dread

What is this cloud, that has engulfed me in pain?
Should I reach the top, or even try?
I'll sit and wait and wonder...Why?

DISCLAIMER: STORYMANIA DOES NOT PROVIDE AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWS. ALL REVIEWS ARE PROVIDED BY NON-ASSOCIATED VISITORS, REGARDLESS OF THE WAY THEY CALL THEMSELVES.

"Is it not funny that we make our wishes on dying stars... I wish I could answer why... I like the way you said you will not change the title of your poem... Because the title is Why... I have used your method already... And I have written and complained about putting a monopoly on title names when the monopoly should be on the author's name... I think more of us should write and complain... Good for you... BrokenWordsPoet... " -- James W. McRight Jr., Ruffin , SC, USA.
