TITLE (EDIT)
Thoughts At An End
DESCRIPTION
Met a girl. It didn't work out like I thought it would. She was my first love. It is a pretty personal poem and I am surprised to be writing this for some to read. Do not look at the pushing as physical, but more as a metephor for the struggles in the relationship. I know it isn't that poetic, but it really helped to get some thoughts on papaer.

Thoughts At An End
Eric A Hofmann

Try and push me and I will push back
Try and punch me and I will lean back.
You don't really know me so why do you try
To misconstrue me in the whites of your eyes.

Everything was true at that time
But everything changed in my life, is that such a crime?
I can't help myself and I can't help you,
So don't push me and I won't push you.

I sing "Let It Be" when times get the worst
But break down and cry when I see I am lost.
Your selfish nature took all of my love
I was confused, and soon began to shove

So all the letters I wrote were recieved
and all the letters you wrote- no, I just don't believe.
Do they exist and did you keep them?
That's right, you did, so I can't see back then.

All I'm saying is how did you expect me to try
When I couldn't share in the beauty between our eyes
You want me as a friend and that I can respect
But are you saying this because you see my sincerity, or to prove that you won't push back.
