ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
My name is Krista Buynak and I am 17 years old. There isn't much about me that is very different from the other teens in this world. I am from Central Pennsylvania, so I guess you could call me a country girl.
I tend to write a lot when I have too many things on my mind. Currently I am working on a story called Across The Distance, that I am thinking of trying to get published. Writing poems and songs is sort of a random thing. I get a lot of my experience in character development and writing while I roleplay on an online forum known as GaiaOnline. It's a place for people to create their own character and live as they choose. After a little while, ideas start to come easily, and writing skills are improved. [June 2007]
I'm here alone,
I'm so confused.
I'm hurting inside,
And I just want to cry.
I want to give up,
But I can't give him up.
He's stolen my heart,
And it kills me to think
That time will tear us apart.
My mother says,
He's not good for you.
And if he leaves,
What are you gonna do?
I tell her I love him,
And that won't ever change.
But I don't know how long
I can take this pain.
And she says..
Do you hurt,
When someone says his name?
Do you cry,
And put yourself to blame?
Does he make you wonder,
If he'll ever leave?
Can you hear the thunder,
Because he can't see?
Does he cause you pain,
With the words he doesn't say?
Are you afraid of what you'll be?
Is he hurting you,
'Cause seeing you like this,
Is killing me.
My best friend tells me,
I should stay away.
I need to get him off my mind,
At least for a day.
But I tell her,
Everywhere I go he's all I see.
He's everything in my world,
He's everything in me.
And she says..
Do you hurt,
When someone says his name?
Do you cry,
And put yourself to blame?
Does he make you wonder,
If he'll ever leave?
Can you hear the thunder,
Because he can't see?
Does he cause you pain,
With the words he doesn't say?
Are you afraid of what you'll be?
Is he hurting you,
'Cause seeing you like this,
Is killing me.
And they keep saying,
Don't worry you'll be fine.
It happens all the time.
It's just,
Temporary love and
We know you say you can't but,
We know you can..
I can hear them...
But they don't understand...
Some time and a few tears later,
I hear a girl complaining to a waiter.
One of those high class girls,
With daddy's pretty plastic.
Gets what she wants,
And when she's had enough that's it.
She goes on about this and that,
How much she's gone through,
And how she wants him back.
And I say..
Do you hurt,
When someone says his name?
Do you cry,
And put yourself to blame?
Does he make you wonder,
If he'll ever leave?
Can you hear the thunder,
Because he can't see?
Does he cause you pain,
With the words he doesn't say?
Are you afraid of what you'll be?
Is he hurting you,
Like my love is killing me?
And they keep saying,
Don't worry you'll be fine.
It happens all the time.
It's just,
Temporary love and,
We know you say you can't but,
We know you can..
I can hear them...
But they don't...understand...
