What is smart
__________________________Stormy DuBois_____________________________

What is smart you ask? Smart is a strange trait that cannot
truly be defined. Are the tallest mountains of Earth smart, trapping
people on their towering cliffs until death? Is the ocean smart, taking
gigantic ships into its depths without leaving a trace? Is the water crashing on boulders smart, plummeting on such a ridged surface yet still having a life in the form of a flow? In a sense a single pebble is smart, sitting there for millions of years without being noticed by a single soul, some stones never even touch by something that has a heartbeat.

If you spend your time wondering if you are smart or not, stop.
Stop wondering. don't even waste your time. even the smartest men and women, when presented with the title of smart will not except the title. Stop trying to obtain a title that even if you succeed to get it you might not even realize you have it... Sure, your friends and family might think youre smart, but you might not be completely satisfied with yourself.

Intelligence cannot be measured, although some people think it can
be, but i dont think so. tests cannot determine a persons leadership or logic.
As, Bs, Cs etc... cannot determine how a person will do in the real world. Once outside of the classroom a whole new kind of intelligence is needed. you can be a total math wizard, but with no social skills will you be able to satisfy yourself with being able to do a difficult math problem with ease or would you rather share your knowledge with friends?

Everyone has a different definition of smart. Some people
 think
that smart is reading lots of books. some people think that smart
is being a good leader. some things might seem smart at the time,
but later what seemed smart really wasnt. Sometime one smart at
the time decision can change your whole life, towards the good
or the bad. Being smart can be good or bad a gift or a curse.
thats what smart is, so be careful not to obsess over being smart.
Sure you should try, but not so hard that it takes over your life,
to be smart. so go ahead and study until twelve oclock for the
test you have to pass so that your teacher will pronounce you
with the title of smart an you can except the title like a crown on
your head, or has reading this actually changed your
views?

READER'S REVIEWS (1)
DISCLAIMER: STORYMANIA DOES NOT PROVIDE AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWS. ALL REVIEWS ARE PROVIDED BY NON-ASSOCIATED VISITORS, REGARDLESS OF THE WAY THEY CALL THEMSELVES.

"Before you embark on any further philosophical writings, I suggest you take the time to research your subject by reading one fundamental source of knowledge, namely the dictionary. The English language contains more synonyms than any other language. "Smart" is a very generalized word often used as a synonym for intelligence. There are many other synonyms for smart such as knowledgeable, clever, witty, adroit, bright, shrewd, cunning, etc. Most of these words have slightly different meanings but they all pertain to either the intellect or behavior(such as style of dress) of humans and sometimes animals. To apply the word smart to an inanimate object like a mountain or a pebble, as you did, would seem appropriate only if it were used in a metaphor found in a poem. I know you are a teenager who likes to write and I applaud you for that, but don't let your writing ambitions get ahead of your responsibility to research the subject matter you write about. Otherwise, your finished product will come out a bit silly, like this one. " -- Richard.
