| DISCUSSION I was going through some of my old word files and found a story I started but never finished. I'm going to polish it up and post it when it's finished. So my departure from this site was a bit premature. (I know that will disappoint some of you.) I also took some time to re-read many of my older reviews posted and quite frankly, I must admit, although they were honest reviews, they were a bit hard hitting and condescending, to say the least. I can't get myself to apologize for these reviews but I can understand how a lot of you young writers could feel the humiliation and sting of such harsh reviews. My reviews were not a result of a mean-spirited nature, but a result of my impatience and frustration and forgetting how young many of you are. I never even thought about writing when I was 14 or even 17, so I should at least have given credit to most of you for being willing to learn to write. That's the closest I can come to an apology. To those of you who want to improve, read more than you write. To others, I suggest you consider another hobby. |
